GERMANY SEEKS «NEW SOLUTIONS» WITH EURO 2016 NEXT TARGET

Coach Joachim Loew expects World Cup-winners Germany
to continue developing but also "find new solutions" in 2015.
In some areas the team will have to "reinvent" itself, but the clear
aim is to confirm the success of 2014 at Euro 2016, Loew says in an
interview with dpa.

"Now we have reached the pinnacle, are world champions and for a year
have been top of the world rankings," Loew said.
"I have the feeling we must retain this good basis but also find new
solutions. The target is to confirm in 2016 a success such as the
World Cup victory."
Loew, 54, says the aim is for the team to develop on from 2014 after
winning the World Cup in Brazil.
"Titles of the past are worth nothing today or for the future. Now we
set our sights ahead, we have to reinvent ourselves in certain area.
That is the task at hand," he said.
Loew said a possible contract extension beyond Euro 2016 was not a
current issue for him.
"I think in two-year cycles because one knows that a (Euro)
tournament like this is of course an important aspect as to whether
the partnership (with the German federation) ends or continues."
